I am writing to express my sincere gratitude at the way your staff handled my personal situation. "I had recently lost my husband and everything got on top of me and became very frightening, harrowing and scary. If it hadnt been for the friendly, professional and caring manner that i was treated i dont know what i would have done". I have now been released from Hospital and my MH Section has been revoked. Thank you for your care and compassion.

Avon and Wilts MH Partnership

I have commissioned RSL to convey patients ranging in age from 17 to 90 years old with the need to safely remove individuals from their own homes or a police station. All the people conveyed have had complex and multi-faceted needs that have required specialist ambulance personnel who can safely restrain, carry and transport to hospital both locally and nationally. The needs encountered have included patients who are violent, at risk of absconsion or completely resistant to leaving their own home and need safe extraction from the property. RSL have always safely and without incident conveyed anyone who they have been commissioned to work with. I have found the service they provide to be needs led, person centred and involves a high degree of professionalism. The front line personnel from RSL are always courteous towards patients and inform individuals of what actions they are going to take. Rapid and Secure i feel provide value for money within their service provision due to the flexibility inherent within the senior management approach then engenders a can do attitude towards what is a difficult and often problematic area of work.

ASW Manager North Somerset
-
I am employed as ASW manager in North Somerset. I have considerable experience working with Rapid and Secure, both in my previous post in Bristol and in my current position. The demands of the ASW role are such that conveyance of patients efficiently, safely and expeditiously is vital to both their well being and that of the staff involved. Prior to the involvement of private ambulance firms, we were dependent on Avon Ambulance, a service that was, despite the best intentions, unreliable due to the pressures upon it. ASW's value hugely the ability to be able to pre book conveyance (in certain circumstances). Previously, they were often left with the patient in situations of stress and risk to themselves, which were extremely dangerous on occasion. Rapid and Secure offer a reliable, efficient and caring means of conveyance. Their staff are invariably courteous and exhibit people skills. They are also able to provide control and restraint which can be very valuable in this work.

Fromeside Clinic, Bristol
-
I have used the services of Rapid and Secure Ltd to facilitate safe transfer of service users on numerous occasions over the last couple of years. The most recent was to move an entire ward of acutely unwell patients from the old Fromeside Clinic to the new Fromeside. As you can imagine this was a sensitive operation, moving acutely unwell mentally disturbed offenders from an established environment into new surroundings, which the majority of service users had never seen. The staff from RSL were professional throughout the operation and were valuable in ensuring that the day went without incident. I have in my capacity as ward manager had cause to use the services of RSL to transfer service users to court, prison and other hospitals and without exception the transfers have had real potential to be stressful to the service user, all have been facilitated without any problem and i can truly say have been facilitated to a highly professional level.

Reliance Custodial Service
-
I have had dealings with Rapid and Secure Ltd for the previous 3 years. I have found their service to be professional and punctual and their customer focus is excellent. Reliance undertakes transportation of Police and HM Prison detainees for attendance at courts and do not facilitate moves such as those with Mental Health issues. As the control centre manager for Reliance i receive many requests from various Police and Mental Health agencies for transportation of difficult or unpredicatable detainees. On all occasions i have recommended Rapid and Secure and my clients have all reported back to me their absolute satisfaction of the service provided by Rapid and Secure Ltd.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the assistance and the support given to our staff when you escorted one of our high risk patients to the Birmingham Crown Court at the end of May 2004. Our nursing staff fed back that they found your staff to be extremely supportive and professional during the court escort. They informed me that when the court security staff refused to assist our staff in taking the patient into the courtroom, your staff quickly intervened and the problem was quickly resolved as a result. I look forward to a continuing and successful engagement with your organisation for the foreseeable future.

Please consider these words as deepest appreciation and highest regard for the very special service provided by Rapid and Secure Ltd. As a permanent resident of the UK i possessed only a passing knowledge of the Wings program, whom i first contacted for what our family felt was bound to be a situation requiring rerefied expertise. Wings quickly assessed that Rapid and Secure's particular knowledge of mental health cases made them the better choice. The candor and forthrightness with which our needs were first appraised was altogether professional. Further, the flexibility to be on call since we couldnt confirm our daughters being permitted to fly until the night before was nothing short of invaluable. Those staff assigned were low key and friendly, establishing exactly the right amount of accessability while maintaining consideration for the emotional strain of the situation. What was also heartening was that clearly, we were all "figuring it out" as we went; that is, their approach included flexibility as well as skill, for whatever was demanded. Hours of exexpected waiting never elicited any show of frustration, irritation or loss of patience. They were "there" to the end, and our family remains enormously grateful to Rapid and Secure and hopes that they will receive full and proper recognition to just how good a job they do.

I thought i should just drop you a line to thank you for your extremely professional services on 21st June 2005. The service was impressed that you were so aware of the clinical governance issues associated with the care and treatment of adolescents. Following contact with your service i have taken the opportunity to advise senior officers in the trust of the positive experience we have had with your company.

I am writing on behalf of our service director to express our gratitude to yourself and your organisation for the excellent manner by which you managed the escorting of a high risk patient from Raeside Clinic to the Spinney Clinic, Manchester on 31st March 2005. Staff reported that they were particularly impressed with the efforts you made to find a secure mode of transport to meet the specific needs of the patient involved and that from the beginning to the end of the escort your team were extremely helpful. Staff also reflected on the assistance you gave to the ward staff on your arrival, when another patient on the receiving ward attempted to escape from the ward. It is clear from the reports that staff from Reaside have given very positive feedback on the support and advice they received from your team and that they felt they were "really in good hands". From the point of view of other staff in Raeside who have previously used your services in escorting high risk patients, these comments confirm the professional and caring image your company holds.
Many thanks for your continued support and assistance to our service.
